In Huichol Style

Huichol Art has always fascinated me all those little beads put on figures of animals, bowls and such one by one. Lots of patterns and symbols all imbedded in a wax, I believe, or at least used to be. I thought I would take a shot at it…on a smaller scale. I took a paper mache box, covered it in polymer clay and went for it! One by one…

I really had a lot of fun making this and watching the design unfold. I’ve been asked if I’m nuts…I very well may be, but that’s beside the point. I guess I do like being in my own little world… – T
